Despite the cold wet wind, over twenty tractors assembled at “The Wheatsheaf” pub, at Tattingstone, and this year we welcomed fresh faces from Essex, who came with their tractors to take part.
Seven members of the Ferguson Club, mainly based in East Suffolk joined in the run , which took us through the Shotley peninsular, using an “on and off road” road route, with a “Pit-stop” half -way at Stutton “King’s Head”public house
The new Landlord, Paul at the “Wheatsheaf” kindly welcomed us all with a hot cup of soup before we started, and after our two and a half- hour run, we all enjoyed a piping-hot meal in the bar, and souvenir plaques were presented to each driver.
Prizes were awarded, and Don Sapsford won a model tractor for the most “Interesting tractor”, as he brought along his Ferguson painted in its anniversary colours of light blue and silver.
